Local schools / PGCPS is closing early today due to the inclement weather weather.

City’s Public Works staff are monitoring the weather closely and later this afternoon we are expecting 1 to 2 inches of rain possible from approximately 2PM-8PM with winds around 20-30 MPH and gusts up to 35-40MPH in that period. We have prepared equipment and staff, checked all low-lying grates/drains, and will have a DPW supervisor patrolling the low areas for any possible flooding concerns this afternoon and evening. The rain is expected to taper off later tonight after 9- 10PM.
