Members of the UMD and College Park communities are going solar and getting a 30% discount…Join them!
Over 70 UMD staff and local residents have already joined the coop. They’ve organized with the help of Community Power Network, an independent, nonprofit organization that helps communities go solar. Each member signs their own contract with the chosen installer, but everyone gets the bulk discount.
The group had a competitive bidding process and selected Astrum Solar to do the installations for the group. They are an awesome company and the group is really excited to be going solar!
New members can still join, but the deadline to sign up is MONDAY JUNE 30th! The group is open to anyone in College Park or the DC metro area.
Led by University physic’s researcher Bob Bartolo, and with the support of the UMD Office of Sustainability and College Park’s Committee for a Better Environment, this group provides a great opportunity to go solar!
