The annual Community Public Safety event, “the National Night Out,” will be back this year – on Tuesday, August 2nd.
The first reason to attend next Tuesday’s National Night Out is to meet your local police officers. The event is designed to build bridges between the community and the police. Our officers help protect our families and us from crime. Please come bring your questions about recent crime trends and how the police are responding to them and working to prevent crime in the future. Also, learn helpful tips and tricks to protect yourself from common types of crime.
More than 16,000 communities across the country will host National Night Out events on Tuesday, Aug. 2, hoping to promote involvement in crime prevention activities, police-community partnerships, neighborhood friends, and send a message to criminals letting them know that their neighborhoods are organized and are fighting back. In North College Park, National Night Out will take place at the Duvall Field Plaza ( (9119 Rhode Island Ave, College Park, MD) ) from 7 pm to 8:30 pm. Please come out and spread the word! Thank you!
