The first reason to attend this year’s National Night Out is the opportunity to meet your local police officers. National Night Out provides a welcoming setting to interact with the officers who serve our community every day. You’ll meet members of the College Park contract police, Prince George’s County Police, and University of Maryland Police Departments—all in one place.
This is your chance to ask questions, share concerns, or simply get to know the people behind the badge. Building relationships with law enforcement is key to fostering trust, ensuring public safety, and creating a stronger, more informed community.
More than 16,000 communities nationwide will host National Night Out events on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at College Park Woods Club, 3545 Marlbrough Way, College Park, MD 20740—hoping to promote involvement in crime prevention activities, police-community partnerships, and neighborhood friends and send a message to criminals letting them know that their neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
