MEET THE Musician: Eric Vesper

Eric Vesper is a Maryland native and ex-academic who makes his home in Adelphi, where he runs the Buddhist Center Sakya Dokho Choling, practices Biodynamic farming, keeps an apiary and hosts musicians of all styles from around the country.  In a few weeks Eric will have his award winning honey for sale.
Eric is particularly interested in the musical traditions of Appalachia and Ireland, jazz, especially from the 1940s, and classical, especially Bach.  Double Sharp’s repertoire reflects this, with an eclectic mix of styles and influences, hailed as one of the truly unique duos in the Metropolitan area.
Eric believes that community awareness and participation is essential to a productive and meaningful life.  He is thrilled to be a part of this market, which he feels has become an integral part of the local communities’ person.  Eric particularly enjoys Heavenly Created Desserts.  Eric also plays with Birds on a Wire at the Downtown College Park market on Sundays (10 to 2).
