A restaurant in Capitol Heights and food truck. You may have seen them around but if not meet them on Saturday at the market.

2 peaches, washed, peeled and chopped
1/2 red bell pepper, washed and chopped
1/2 cucumber washed, seeded and chopped
3 scallions (green onions), washed and chopped
2 jalapeno peppers, washed, seeded and finely chopped
2 Tablespoons honey
Juice of one lime
1. In a large bowl combine all ingredients
2. Cover and chill

On September 22nd Vivian Cooper, College Park’s Animal Control Officer, will be in attendance at the market to microchip College Park resident’s pets. Non residents will pay $20.00 for this great way to help our pets return to our homes if they ever seem to get out.

By donating gently-used clothing, shoes, accessories, books, linens, and small household items (no furniture), you can help us raise funds for the Lions Community Outreach Foundation which sponsors a mobile health unit and screening equipment, allowing thousands of people to receive free vision, hearing and eye pressure screenings in our communities annually. Start gathering up your donations today!
