As summer approaches an end, our kids are thinking about going back to school, and the University of Maryland students start coming back into town, don’t forget about your local farmers market! Soon the fall harvest will begin, but the temperatures are still pretty warm! So stop by this week and pick up some fresh corn on the cob, ripe tomatoes, or grass-fed beef to build up that energy as we start to face the days ahead! And don’t forget the cupcakes!

|We’ve featured them before, but we’re excited to announce this week that Roy and Aarti Caspari, local residents and the owners of Roy and RT’s Kitchen and Garden were recently selected by Elevation DC as part of their “50+ Under 50: Innovative leaders transforming metro DC’s food system!” The magazine selected the Casparis due to their backyard garden and work at our local farmers markets, selling their delicious fritters, hot food dishes, and refreshing tea!
