College Park and the surrounding area experienced some good effect by yesterday’s damage.
Three large trees fell in the 4900 block of Blackfoot Rd, causing some damages to a house. Thankfully the neighbors in the house were not harmed.
Downed trees have blocked 50th place southbound Hollywood Rd. It also took the power out in the area.
Lighting caused a split of a large tree, damaging upstairs of a house in the 5000 block of Hollywood Rd. The neighbor was unharmed.
Staff and I toured the area and have made notes of many of the downed trees. Our crews are finishing up clearing streets tonight and are continuing collecting debris today Let’s thank our staff and crews for doing a very good job.
