On June 27, Friday, at 8:30 am to 11:30 am, City’s annual real estate forum returns with a focus on efforts to create a new neighborhood in the area adjacent to the College Park-UMD Metro Station, which is home to the College Park Airport and M Square Research Park. The vision for the area includes interconnected neighborhoods that capitalize on the rich transit network,
plentiful recreational opportunities, and burgeoning employment hub.

City’s planning department will be hosting this year’s real estate round table at Hampton Inn at 9670 Baltimore Avenue.

The event’s featured speakers represent agencies that have recently released the following documents that will play a significant role in shaping the area’s future.

Topics of discussion include:

1. Joint Development Solicitation for 5.16-Acre Property
Steve Teitelbaum, Senior Real Estate Advisor
Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority

2. Preliminary College Park-Riverdale Park Transit District Development Plan
Chad Williams, Planner Coordinator
Maryland-National Capital Parks and Planning Commission.

An additional presentation discussing College Park’s overall real estate landscape will be made by the City’s Economic Development Coordinator, Michael Stiefvater.

There is no charge to attend the event and a light breakfast will be available.
