Tomorrow, the Mayor and Council will hold the public hearing on the proposed Fiscal Year 2027 (FY27) budget (Ordinance 26-O-03)—one of the most important steps in shaping the City’s priorities for the coming year.
This is your opportunity to share your thoughts before the budget is finalized later this month.
What’s in the Proposed Budget?
The FY27 budget reflects months of planning and community input. It includes:
- General Fund – supports core City services like public safety and public works
- ARPA Allocation Fund – invests remaining federal recovery funds into key initiatives
- Capital Projects Fund – focuses on infrastructure and long-term improvements
- Debt Service Fund – ensures responsible management of City obligations
The goal is to balance strong service delivery, strategic investments, and long-term fiscal responsibility—without increasing the tax rate.
