Rhode Island Trolley Trail at Tecumseh St. (the group will gather at Tecumseh St)

The Committee for a Better Environment invites you to check out College Park’s own permaculture garden and learn about Permaculture 101. Permaculture gardens are a great way to care for the earth, with perennial plants that are low maintenance and provide healthy fruits to eat.

Committee for a Better Environment member Alan Hew will provide the basics on how to establish and maintain a permaculture garden, and discuss the plants in College Park’s garden.

In addition, he will touch on the benefits of the recently installed bioswale located next to the garden, which helps to remove pollutants from the surface water runoff and protect the Anacostia Watershed.
