Paint Branch Mural “A Path Forward,” Unveiled to the Public

Recently, the Paint Branch Bridge mural, ” A Path Forward,” was unveiled to the public.

The mural, located on the bridge’s underpass walls, showcases and celebrates the past and future of the Lakeland community, with images inspired by historic photos courtesy of the Lakeland Heritage Project.

Local artists Christine Wilkin (Roosevelt High School arts teacher) and David Silva (MICA graduate) designed the mural, and an artistic team consisting of Silva, Bonnie Simonds (M-NCPPC artist), Sierra Sigmone (UMD art student) led a team of student artists to complete the mural.
