Yesterday, I had the honor of opening the Bilingual Job Fair right here in College Park. It was inspiring to see so many employers, job seekers, and community partners gathered together. This fair was particularly meaningful because it was bilingual, making it inclusive and accessible to more of our residents. We know that when everyone has a fair shot at opportunities, our whole community grows stronger.

I want to thank Employ Prince George’s for organizing this event and for choosing College Park as the host city. And a big thank you goes to the many employers who came out—they’re not just offering jobs, they are investing in people, in families, and in the future of our region.

For many who attended, the fair offered more than just a chance to apply for jobs. It created space for conversations, networking, and discovering resources that can open doors to new possibilities.

On behalf of the City of College Park, I was proud to welcome everyone and to highlight how events like these strengthen our city. Together, we’re making sure College Park is a place where opportunities are open to all and where success is shared across the community.
