Non-Citizens Voting Did not Pass, but for a Different Reason – Attorney
Yesterday, the City published another statement with the latest attorney/legal verdict on the non-citizens voting.
As you recall, the Charter change was first declared passed, then it was declared failed. In yesterday’s statement, the attorney is telling us it still failed, but for a different reason.
I know this series of conflicting “verdicts” could be frustrating and confusing to many of you, however, I sincerely hope we, as a City, can finally move past this by making sure such confusion on legal matters doesn’t happen again in future.
