The AlHuda School community in College Park has taken a remarkable step towards supporting our friends and neighbors by opening the first free 24/7 mini-food pantry on Edgewood Road. This initiative is a testament to the spirit of compassion and generosity that thrives in our city.
Located in the parking lot of 9900 Rhode Island Avenue, this mini-food pantry is stocked weekly and is designed to provide essential food supplies to families in need. Whether it’s mid-week or any time of day, those facing food insecurity can access this pantry, ensuring that no one in our community has to go hungry.
This wonderful project would not have been possible without the kindness and support of Mrs. Sarah Saab, who graciously granted permission to build the structure on her property. Her generosity is a shining example of the strong sense of community that binds us all together.
We encourage everyone to help spread the word about this pantry. Let’s make sure that those who could benefit from this resource know it’s available to them. Whether you’re passing by the area or know someone who might be in need, please share this information widely. Together, we can ensure that this pantry reaches and supports as many families as possible.
Our deepest thanks go out to the Al Huda School and Mrs. Sarah Saab for their dedication to making College Park a more caring and connected community. This mini-food pantry is more than just a structure; it’s a symbol of hope and kindness, reflecting the values we all cherish. Let’s continue to support and uplift each other, making sure that no one in our community is left behind.

Let’s not forget those who reached out from the school to obtain the approval to build, paint, and install this community project.
