Please below last week’s crime stats.
I asked our Police about the 11/5 assault incident on Rhode Island avenue. It was a shoplifting complaint at the REI. The suspect was caught and began fighting staff to get away. The suspect left the jacket behind.
The 51st Place robbery incident on 11/5 appears to be drug deal gone wrong. At approximately 2240 hrs., Police responded and made contact with two victims, who advised that two suspects tried to rob them and displayed a black semi-auto handgun and asked for property. No evidence of a shooting was found. A canvass of the area was conducted with negative results. Police however recovered a small sandwich size plastic bag in front of the location containing a few MDMA (Ecstasy) pills.
