The Prince George’s County Department of Public Works and Transportation (DPW&T) will be hosting a virtual public information meeting on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. to share updates on Phase 2 of the Metzerott Road Pedestrian Safety Capital Improvement Project (CIP). This phase focuses on the stretch from Adelphi Road to MD 193 and aims to enhance pedestrian and bicycle safety, providing better access to both nearby neighborhoods and the University of Maryland.
This is an important opportunity for residents, students, and commuters to learn more about planned safety improvements and provide feedback. The project is part of the County’s broader Vision Zero initiative to eliminate traffic fatalities and serious injuries.
