If you regularly shop at Lidl in College Park, you’ll want to plan ahead.

The Lidl College Park will be temporarily closed from Monday, July 13, through Wednesday, August 5 for a store remodeling project. According to notices posted at the store, the renovation is intended to redesign the space and provide an even better shopping experience for customers. The store is expected to reopen on August 5.
The notice at the entrance reads:
“Our store is temporarily closed while we redesign the space to make your shopping experience even better. We can’t wait to show you what’s behind the curtain on 8/5.”
During the closure, Lidl encourages customers to shop at its other nearby locations, including stores in Hyattsville, Takoma Park, and Lanham.
If you need groceries while Lidl is closed, there are several convenient alternatives in and around College Park, including:
- MOM’s Organic Market (Rhode Island Avenue, College Park)
- Trader Joe’s (Calvert Road, College Park)
- Giant Food (Greenbelt Road, Greenbelt)
- ALDI (Baltimore Avenue, Beltsville)
If Lidl is your go-to grocery store, you may want to stock up before July 13 or plan to visit one of these nearby options while the remodeling work is underway.
We look forward to seeing the updated store when it reopens on August 5.
