Spring is here, and it’s the perfect time to come together as a community and care for one of our local green spaces.
The Berwyn District Civic Association (BDCA), in partnership with the College Park Committee for a Better Environment (CBE), is hosting a Permaculture Garden Cleanup Event on April 11 from 9:00 a.m. to Noon at the intersection of Rhode Island Avenue and Tecumseh Street.
This is a great opportunity to roll up your sleeves, give back to the community, and help maintain a beautiful permaculture garden that reflects our shared commitment to sustainability. Whether you’re an experienced gardener or just looking to get involved, all are welcome.
The City of College Park will provide mulch, tools, and all necessary materials—just bring your energy and enthusiasm.
Beyond the cleanup, this is also a chance to connect with neighbors who care deeply about the environment and the future of our community.
Looking to Get More Involved?
If you’re interested in making a lasting impact, consider applying to serve on one of the City’s Advisory Boards or Committees. There are currently several openings, including five seats on the Committee for a Better Environment.
These boards play an important role in shaping policies and initiatives that impact daily life in College Park. It’s a meaningful way to share your expertise, serve your community, and build connections with fellow residents.

I hope to see many of you there as we continue working together to keep College Park green, vibrant, and connected. 🌱
