Falls are one of the leading causes of injury among older adults, and simple home improvements can make a big difference in preventing accidents. To help residents age safely and independently in their homes, the City of College Park is offering a Grab Bar Rebate Program for residents age 62 and older.

Through this program, eligible residents can receive a rebate of up to $150 for the purchase and/or installation of grab bars in their homes. Grab bars provide added stability in areas such as bathrooms, stairways, and other locations where slips and falls are more likely to occur.
The rebate is available for grab bars purchased and installed on or after March 1, 2026. Funding is limited and applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis while funds remain available.
To qualify, residents must provide proof of age, proof of purchase, and proof of installation when submitting their application.
The Grab Bar Rebate Program is part of the City’s ongoing commitment to supporting older adults and promoting aging in place. By helping residents make their homes safer, College Park is investing in the health, independence, and well-being of our senior community.
