Now that the final results are in (please see below), I want to take a moment to say thank you. I am deeply humbled and honored to be re-elected as Mayor of College Park. Serving this community continues to be one of the greatest privileges of my life, and I am truly grateful for the trust you have placed in me once again.
Over the past two years, we have shown what is possible when we work together with shared purpose. We rebuilt and reimagined key parts of our city—from the reconstruction of Route 1, to opening new community spaces like the College Park Woods Clubhouse, to strengthening our financial foundation and welcoming new businesses and jobs that help families thrive. We made our neighborhoods safer, more walkable, and more connected, all while celebrating the rich diversity that makes College Park so special.
I also want to extend my warmest congratulations to the newly elected and re-elected City Councilmembers. Whether returning or joining the Council for the first time, I look forward to working with each of them as we continue serving our residents and building a stronger College Park together.
In the years ahead, we will finish what we started: the Duvall Field renovation, a new Community Center, the Lakeland restorative justice initiative, the Calvert Hills flooding mitigation project, and the continued revitalization of Route 1. We will keep prioritizing public safety, affordable housing for all generations, and services that support families, youth, and seniors. And we will remain committed to sustainability so our city thrives not just today, but for decades to come.
Thank you to every resident who voted, volunteered, supported, or simply believed in our shared vision for College Park. I look forward to serving you, listening to you, and continuing the work ahead—side by side.
With gratitude,
Fazlul Kabir

Congrats
I had hoped that more registered voters in Dist. 2 would have come out to vote.
