Though the Good Neighbors Day (GND) is more than a week away, GND’s food drive is already underway. There are a number of donation drop centers in north College Park (please see the map below), one at Davis Hall. Your donation will benefit the Meals on Wheels’ programs in north College Park. Please see below for more details.
Want to help us feed the hungry in our College Park community? The Office of Community Engagement is collecting non-perishable goods between now and the March 29th Good Neighbor Day event.
Look for the large, white Good Neighbor Day donation boxes, with their TURTLE SHELL designs. Want to find the box nearest you? Go to http://vpaf.umd.edu/gnd/docs/FoodDriveLocations.pdf
Please bring in non-perishable canned and boxed food items and drop them off in the boxes. Suggested items to donate: canned veggies and fruit, tuna, pasta sauces, peanut butter, jelly (please no glass!), pasta. Low sodium items are preferred. Donations will go to the College Park Food Bank and Meals on Wheels. Thanks, in advance, for supporting this cause!
Good Neighbor Day is a collaboration between the City of College Park, the Maryland National Capital Park & Planning Commission and the University!
