This Thursday, our community has a wonderful opportunity to come together and support one another. Helpers to Goodwill will be hosting a grocery and turkey giveaway at 11:00 AM at Al Huda School. Events like this reflect the very best of College Park—neighbors helping neighbors, especially during times when a little extra support can make a big difference. If you or someone you know could benefit, please consider stopping by.
At the same time, as we head out to participate in this generous event, I want to share a quick but important safety reminder. There is an active stop sign camera at the intersection of Edgewood Road and 52nd Place. This is one of several locations in our City where we are working to improve safety for pedestrians, bicyclists, and drivers.
Please remember to come to a full stop at all stop signs—not just for enforcement, but to keep everyone safe.
