This project has been stalled due to difficulty reaching agreement on land acquisition with one property owner and obtaining a public use easement from another property owner. We now have one property under contract to purchase and expect the signed easement shortly (all issues have been resolved) for the other property.
The design plans and specifications for this project are over four years old and require some modification to accommodate the property negotiations mentioned above including additional survey work and preparation of a minor subdivision plat. The sediment control plans for the project are still valid and not expected to change. recommends revisiting the architecture for the pavilion structure in order to make it more attractive and more of a gateway feature for the community. The existing building on site has recently been demolished and presents an opportunity to think more broadly about the form, function and siting of the pavilion. The Council will discuss the final design at tomorrow’s worksession
