We’re thrilled to announce that Food4MD, a Maryland-based nonprofit dedicated to delivering nutritious meals across the DMV, is officially moving into The Flats at College Park by the end of the year! This exciting arrival fills a critical gap in local food access—and we couldn’t be more excited!
Earlier this year, our community explored the possibility of bringing Meals on Wheels to this site to serve residents directly. While the idea was met with lots of support, the organization ultimately found that their existing kitchen setup wasn’t a good fit for the space—so that plan didn’t pan out. But every cloud has a silver lining! 🙌 With Food4MD stepping in, we’re getting not one, but a whole range of services: hot meals, cold meals, food boxes, and even catering through their robust and scalable operation .
