The City of College Park is proud to announce that Mayor Pro Tem Denise Mitchell has been appointed to serve on the National League of Cities’ (NLC) Board of Directors for a two-year term. Ms. Mitchell has also been elected President of NLC’s National Black Caucus of Local Elected Officials (NBC-LEO). “I am honored to be appointed by my fellow elected peers to serve on these prestigious boards representing thousands of cities across the nation,” said Ms. Mitchell.

Ms. Mitchell has been a Councilmember in College Park for 12 years, representing District 4. The NLC is an organization comprised of city, town, and village leaders that represents more than 2,700 cities across the nation. The organization will be celebrating its centennial anniversary in 2024.
