I had a great time yesterday meeting with a wonderful group of UMD students from the CPCV225: Introduction to Civic Engagement & Social Good class at College Park City Hall. We talked about why civic engagement matters, how students can get more involved in the College Park community, and some of the challenges and opportunities our city is facing. I really enjoyed hearing their questions and perspectives. It’s always encouraging to see students interested in learning more about the community beyond campus and thinking about how they can make a positive difference.
