College Park Starts Marketing Campaign – A Smart Place to Live

Smarter closer Home

The City has finally started its marketing campaign to attract businesses, families and professional to the City.

After finalizing the logo and tagline, City’s Economic development group spent the past few months working with the consultant, idfive LLC, to design advertisements, brochures, and an online landing page, which serves as an information center for potential residents.

The media push is currently taking place and will run through the end of June, while the City can supplement the campaign in a variety of other ways over time.

In regards to the media portion, the City has put together a portfolio of the ad work for everyone to see. The portfolio shows the ads, their run dates, and the publication they appeared in.

Additionally, an ad appeared on last Tuesday’s edition of the Express, which is distributed at Metro stations and other high density spots around the region (please see below).

I am dissapointed in the express ad – it looks very generic, almost reminds me of the foreclosure ads because only the roofs are showing (as if you’re financially “going under”). I recommend using the ad featured on the top of the page that has a more personal picture of Artmesia. Can you give some details ads/run dates/media outlet in a future post?

    Hi Beka,

Many thanks for your comments. I’ve passed this to our economic development group, who is working on the marketing. I will make another post on the run date data you asked. Thanks again.
