“College Values Online” – an online magazine has ranked College Park #44 in the list of top 50 College towns. You can see the list here. The ranking is based on a few important factors, such as cost of living, unemployment, and crime rates.

I explaining the ranking, College Values Online writes the following:

“Located in Northwestern Maryland, College Park boasts an impressively low unemployment rate by both state and national standards. It is home to the “Archives II” facility of the U.S. National Archives, a major employer in the city along with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. It also encompasses the Calvert Hills Historic District, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, as well as the National Archives Archeological Site, among several other sites of historic note. Three museums contribute to College Park’s cultural presence: The Art Gallery at the University of Maryland, College Park Aviation Museum, and the National Museum of Language.”

Let’s work to make the ranking even better! In the 2015-2020 Strategic Plan, College Park made an ambitious goal – to make the City one of top 20 College Town in America.
