NCPCA – It’s Your Neighborhood Association

Tomorrow is the second Thursday of the month, and hence the day when the North College Park Civic Association holds it’s monthly meeting. The members will have a good discussion about the recent tree removal and trimming project by the Pepco, with a few additional items. The meeting will take place at the Youth and Family Services building at 4912 Nantucket Road, at 7:30pm.

Please see the full agenda below.

  • Tree Canopy in North College Park. Representatives from Pepco, City of College Park Staff, and the Tree and Lanscape Board will discuss recent projects to remove or trim trees in North College Park.
  • Stormwater Management Projects in North College Park. County contractors previously attended an NCPCA meeting in September to discuss possible locations for stormwater management projects. Members requested city support in conducting a survey to gather resident feedback. Prior to that survey taking place, the city was planning to meet with the contractors to get updates about proposed locations.
  • Hollywood Park Update. Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission and the Prince George’s County Department of the Environment issued responses to letters sent by Mayor Wojahn regarding the proposed stormwater management project at Hollywood Park. There will also be an update about benches recently removed from the park grounds.
  • Community Yard Sale. Mark Hoffman will update us on plans for the community yard sale in 2017.
