At last night’s Council meeting, the Council decided to approve a $10,000 grant to the Junior Tennis Center (JTCC) in exchange for services in JTCC’s partnership proposal.

The proposal states that in exchange for the $10,000 funding JTCC will provide College park residents with:
1) Six free group lessons
2) 25% off membership dues
3) 25% pf paid lesions following six free group lessons
4) free instruction to students in elementary schools in College Park
5) free instruction to PE teachers in College Park
6) two hour tennis festivals six times a year for only College Park residents

The Council took out a condition about yearly corporate club membership for City Council and City Management.

The term of the agreement would be January 1, 2017- December 31, 2017.

JTCC is located at 5200 Campus Drive. It shares the facility with the for-profit Tennis Center of College Park.
