Eric Maring receiving 2011 Green Award

In tomorrow’s Council meeting, the City Council will recognizes select residents for their outstanding local contributions to our healthy environment. Every year, City’s Committee for a Better Environment organizes this award ceremony at the Council chamber.

The purpose of these awards are to increase environmental awareness of the community and to encourage wider appreciation and adoption of environmentally sound practices. Awards are given in four categories.

This year’s awards will go to Dr. Victor Yakovenko, Christine Williams, Clay Glump and Robert Boone.
