Thanks to the great generosity of College Park residents, the City collected more than 300 cold weather items during this year’s One Warm Coat Drive.
About 200 coats and more than 100 hats, gloves, scarves and other items were donated to neighbors in need
this winter. “Once again, our College Park community shines because of its kindness and generosity; their
donations truly help those in need keep warm this winter” said Scott Somers, City Manager.
This year’s One Warm Coat Drive exceeded last year’s previous record of more than 200 items donated.
The City’s Department of Youth, Family and Senior Services has already begun distributing the items to local
residents and families. Once again, ZIPS Dry Cleaners in Downtown College Park graciously cleaned the
donated coats at no cost.
The City thanks its residents for their caring and generosity during this holiday season and wishes a happy and warm holiday season to all, while if they need to buy great clothing and shoes after this they can go to sites like MyShoesFinder.com just for this purpose.
