At today’s meeting, the City Council will discuss new software options for reporting and tracking issues and processing permits to greatly enhance ease of use by residents and staff. The discussion will include a new customer relation management (CRM) system, to replacing the City’s CRM and land management software and possibly the financial software as well.

Staff is recommending to consider the cloud-based TRAKiT solution (by Superion), which includes a CRM and an easy to use mobile app. Once implemented, a resident can take a picture of a code issue and directly report that to the City.

The system will also allow us to monitor the progress / resolution of the case online. The implementation process for TRAKiT includes six stages spread over about 12 months. The first year implementation costs of TRAKiT and the CRM will be approximately $315,000.
