The City of College Park will host a special Community Meeting with the 21st District Delegation on Wednesday, May 13, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the City Hall Council Chamber, located at 7401 Baltimore Avenue.

This meeting will provide residents with an opportunity to hear directly from our state representatives about the recently concluded legislative session and the work they accomplished on behalf of College Park residents and communities across District 21.

The evening will feature Senator Jim Rosapepe, Speaker Joseline Peña-Melnyk, Delegate Ben Barnes, and Delegate Mary Lehman.

The event will also serve as a special opportunity to celebrate College Park’s very own resident and former City Councilmember, Speaker Joseline Peña-Melnyk, on her historic leadership role as Speaker of the Maryland House of Delegates. Her election marks a proud moment not only for District 21, but also for the College Park community she has long served.

Residents attending the meeting will have the chance to learn more about state initiatives, budget priorities, transportation and public safety investments, education issues, and other legislative actions that impact the City of College Park. Community members will also be able to engage with the delegation and ask questions about issues important to them.

The City appreciates the strong partnership it continues to maintain with the District 21 Delegation and their ongoing support for College Park initiatives and priorities.

Residents who are unable to attend in person may join virtually via Zoom:

We hope residents will join us for this important community conversation and celebration.
