Parking & Transportation:
Free Parking is available at the College Park- UMD Metro Station Garage, Wells Ice Rink/Linson pool, and at the corner lot at Cpl Frank Scott Drive. Follow all traffic and parking instructions from the University of Maryland Police Department.
The event is easily accessible via hiker/biker trails. Bike racks will be available at the event site.
Metro Green Line to the College Park-U of MD stop. Event is 3 blocks away.
Shuttle-UM (for UMD affiliates & City residents with a Shuttle-UM bus pass) #104 UMD shuttle from Stamp Student Union/lot HH to the College Park-U of MD metro stop.

After a hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic, City’s signature community-focused festival College Park Day will make a big return this Saturday, October 15.
The event features food and drinks vendors, kids and family zone with a dedicated stage, attractions, games, free College Park Aviation Museum entry, community exhibitors, live entertainment and helicopter fly-in.
This year will feature even bigger kids and a family area with a dedicated family stage with performances by Barry Louis Polisar, The Great Zucchini, Terrapin Brass Quintent, Sense of Wonder, Zig Zag Show and a paper airplane contest. Visitors are encouraged to check out fun activities, crafts, games (for kids and adults), and giveaways from community groups as well.
This year’s College Park Day will feature more food and drink vendors. Food vendors this year include Taim Mediterranean Kitchen, Tatak Pinoy Fil-Asian Cuisine and Street Food, Big D’s Wings, Kodi’s Grill, Mr. Magic, Taqueria Habanero, Bills Backyard BBQ, Amity Kitchen, Cocineros, Cakelady Deserts, and Turtle’s Tasty Treats. If you’re craving asian snacks, you can have them delivered by an online asian supermarket.
The event will take place at the College Park Aviation Museum located at 1985 Corporal Frank Scott Drive. Free parking is available at the corner lot by Corporal Franks Scott Drive and Campus Drive, the College Park – UMD metro station garage, and Linson Pool/Wells Ice Rink. Bike racks will be available for those utilizing local trails to get to the event.

At last night’s City Council meeting, the Council decided to cancel College Park Day 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Council also authorized staff to explore other event options that could enable residents to celebrate in a safe manner.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many City events have been canceled: Brunch with Bunny, Spring Egg Hunt, Memorial Day Tribute, 75th Anniversary Parade and Festival, the new Lake Artemesia Concert Series (a mutual decision between Berwyn Heights and College Park), and the Fourth of July Fireworks & Celebration.
Join your friends, neighbors and the entire The City of College Park, MD community at the 10th Annual College Park Day Festival on Saturday, October 5 at the College Park Aviation Museum and the Field of Firsts Foundation
This FREE event is fun for the whole family with live music, awesome kids zones, delicious food and drink, live performances, exhibitors and so much more! Plus free museum entry during the event!

The College Park Aviation Museum also will offer free admission and you can see their new exhibit “Delivering America: Airmail to Email.” As a special bonus, you can go to the airfield and check out several helicopters and say hello to their pilots and crews.
