Mark your calendars, plant enthusiasts! This Saturday, August 31, the Bee City Committee is bringing a splash of green to the Hollywood Farmers Market. They’re giving away native plants to help beautify our community and support local pollinators.
Why native plants? These local species are perfectly adapted to our climate, requiring less water and maintenance. Plus, they provide essential habitats for bees, butterflies, and other beneficial insects that keep our ecosystem thriving.
The distribution will be on a first-come, first-served basis, so arrive early to secure your free plants. Whether you have a sprawling backyard or a cozy balcony, there’s always room for more greenery.
This initiative is a fantastic opportunity to:
- Enhance your garden or green space
- Support local biodiversity
- Learn about native plant species
- Connect with fellow plant lovers in the community
Don’t miss this chance to add some local flair to your garden while contributing to a greener, more bee-friendly city. See you at the Hollywood Farmers Market this Saturday!
Remember: Early birds get the plants!
