Proposed Senior Housing at Branchville Gardens – Learn More at Upcoming Neighborhood Meeting

Branchville Garden

A new senior housing development may be coming to our neighborhood, and your input is needed!

Cruz Development Corporation is proposing a new multifamily residential project—Branchville Gardens—to be located at 4810 Branchville Road, on the north side of the street at the intersection with University Boulevard (Route 193). The proposed plan includes approximately 87 residential units for seniors on land zoned RMF-48 (Residential Multifamily).

Back in October 2015, the Cruz Development company presented a proposal to the City Council for the Branchville Crossing project—a 72‑unit affordable rental housing development planned for a 2.02‑acre parcel zoned R‑10 along Branchville Road. The presentation marked the developer’s official introduction of the plan to the city’s leadership for consideration.

Before any formal application is submitted to Prince George’s County, the developer will host a Pre-Application Neighborhood Meeting to share the project details, gather feedback from the community, and answer any questions.

📅 Meeting Details:

Date: Wednesday, August 13, 2025 Time: 6:00 p.m. (Doors open at 5:30 p.m.) Location: 1st Floor Community Room City of College Park, 7401 Baltimore Avenue, College Park, MD 20740

This is your chance to:

Learn more about the proposed development. Ask questions directly to the developer and their representatives. Share comments, ideas, and concerns before the application is filed

The meeting will be hosted by Cruz Development Corp. and their legal representative, Matthew C. Tedesco, Esq., of McNamee Hosea, P.A.

📄 Note: The application (DET-2025-010) has not yet been reviewed by any government agency.

The link to become a person of record does not work.

How will an entrance on Branchville Rd. work?
