Do you want to make a meaningful impact in College Park, meet new people, and share your talents with the community? The City is now recruiting volunteers for several Advisory Boards, and we’d love for you to get involved!

Applications are open until Wednesday, November 27, 2024. The Mayor and Council will review applications and make appointments in December, with terms starting on January 1, 2025. If you are interested, click here to submit your application.

Available Boards Seeking Volunteers:

1. Bee City USA Committee

Help increase awareness of urban pollinators and maintain College Park’s Bee City USA designation by promoting initiatives that support the environment and enhance pollinator-friendly spaces.

2. Committee for a Better Environment

Are you passionate about sustainability and environmental advocacy? This committee focuses on projects that promote a greener, more sustainable future for our city.

3. Education Advisory Committee

Support College Park’s schools and students! This committee works to strengthen partnerships between the City and schools, helping promote educational excellence.

4. Housing Authority of the City of College Park

Contribute to efforts that ensure access to affordable, quality housing for all residents through collaboration and advisory work.

5. Noise Control Board

If you have experience or interest in noise control, mediation, or administrative law, this board helps interpret the City’s noise code and promotes peaceful coexistence among residents.

6. Restorative Justice Commission

Play a role in advancing restorative justice within College Park by supporting community engagement, truth-telling, and reconciliation processes. This commission works toward building a more inclusive and just future.

7. Veterans Memorial Committee

Help honor the service of veterans by planning the City’s Veterans Day and Memorial Day events. Join us in paying tribute to those who served.
