This morning, I had the pleasure of joining the students and staff at Hollywood Elementary School for their Annual Career Day—and what an inspiring experience it was.
I spoke with 4th and 5th grade students who were full of energy, curiosity, and great questions about the future. We talked about what it means to serve your community, different career paths, and how leadership is not about titles, but about making a positive impact in the lives of others. I shared a bit of my own journey into public service and encouraged them to stay curious, work hard, and believe in their ability to shape the future.
What stood out most was the enthusiasm in the room. These students are already thinking big, asking thoughtful questions, and showing a genuine desire to learn and grow. It’s a powerful reminder that our future is in very capable hands.
A big thank you to the teachers and staff at Hollywood Elementary for organizing such a meaningful event and creating opportunities for students to connect with professionals from different fields. Events like Career Day help open doors, spark ideas, and give students a glimpse of what’s possible.
I left the school feeling energized and hopeful. We have an incredible generation coming up—and I look forward to seeing all they will accomplish.
