Great news! Our 2021 Sock Drive is now underway! For those who are unaware, socks are among the most requested, but least donated items at homeless shelters. The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Office of Community 1st, through our PAL Mentorship Program, is hosting a community service project that will support people experiencing homelessness in our community. Please join us by donating NEW socks to any Division Station in the County. This Community Service Project is going on NOW and EXTENDED through January 14, 2022. Please see the flyer for more details.
With that being said, how about a little friendly competition? Whichever Division Station has collected the most socks will win the Sock Drive Trophy, as well as a Certificate of Appreciation! The winning Division Station will then hold onto the Sock Drive Trophy until the 2022 Sock Drive. The Sock Drive Trophy will then be passed down, year by year, to the next winner! Help your Division Station win the 2021 Sock Drive Trophy by donating NEW socks!
