Residents Tell Their Recreational Needs

This week, about 150 residents engaged in several focus group community meetings to share their thoughts about the recreational needs in the City. There were 4 focus group meetings for senior residents and 3 for residents of all ages. The City secured a consulting group, called Greenplay LLC., to run these community meetings.

The final Public Forum happened last night at the Youth and Family Services building on Nantucket Road. About 25 residents of all ages attended the meeting (photo below). The consultants presented the findings from the focus group meetings and took further inputs from the residents.

The consultant will now compile all inputs from the stakeholders and the focus group members. This should be available on City’s website in a few days, most likely after the Labor Day Holiday. The consultant will also conduct a statistically significant survey among the community at large. They will randomly select about 3500 City residents for this survey. After that, they will publish the survey on City’s website, so that additional residents can take the survey.

Thanks, everyone who attended these community meetings and gave some very important feedback!
