Local Cooling Centers Open to Public

Excessive heat advisories are in effect today, tomorrow and Sunday from 11 am to 9 pm. Please take precautions when outdoors. Check on the condition of family and neighbors.
Due to high temperatures the County has also set up Cooling Centers that open when temperatures reach 90 degrees or higher and provide seated spaces for citizens to escape the heat. My office wants to make sure everyone stays safe and knows where to find a local Cooling Center.

Cooling Centers may be activated during the summer months for individuals who are at risk of heat-related illnesses. Senior Citizens and their families should contact the Prince George’s County Department of Family Services Administration on Aging at 301-265-8450 for information and/or assistance.
