I’m especially looking forward to project 511180 Little Paint Branch Stream Valley Park. You will be able to bicycle or walk from the Beltsville Community Center to the Bladensburg Waterfront Park on a continuous 10-mile trail. And it will provide about 1.2 miles of much-needed wide sidewalk on Cherry Hill Road where none exists between the crosswalk in College Park and Sellman Road. And then about another mile of wide sidewalk on Sellman Road.

In an area that needs a lot more walkability, this will really help. 2016 may also see the start of construction on Powder Mill Road in Beltsville to enhance walkability: http://apps.roads.maryland.gov/WebProjectLifeCycle/ProjectInformation.aspx?projectno=PG1062116
