City Plans to Use State Grants for More Community Projects

The Council will discuss the annual Program Open Space (POS) funding for FY2019.

In this year, the City is expected to receive $289,121, however our plan must be submitted by June 15, 2018.

This year, POS funding is required to be divided equally between acquisition and development projects. Allocation used for development projects requires a 75% / 25% split of state and local funds.

The City has three development projects in the Annual Program: Duvall Field, Hollywood Gateway Park, and the Hollywood Wellness Trail.

The City has four acquisition projects in the Annual Program: Neighborhood Open Space Hollywood Gateway Park Expansion, College Park Woods Swim Club Acquisition and Sentinel Swamp Sanctuary Acquisition
